Colder, wet weather returns to Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. -- Tuesday will be about 30 degrees colder than Monday after a strong cold front swept through the Commonwealth overnight.

This colder air will continue to settle into the region today, with slowly falling temperatures from the mid-40s to around 40 degrees during the day.

Scattered showers continue to track from southwest Virginia to the northeast, favoring the northwest half of Virginia.
