Victim sent to hospital after Dinwiddie shooting

DINWIDDIE, Va.-- Officials are investigating a shooting that occurred on the 25000 block of Weakley Road in Dinwiddie County, Friday night.

According to police sources, a man knocked on a door on Weakley Road, and stated he had been shot in the back of the head

Deputies were called and the victim was med-flight to VCU Medical center to be treated for injuries.

Officials have not released the extend of the victim's injuries.

No other information has been released by deputies at this time.
