GardenFest of Lights at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, 1800 Lakeside Avenue, open nightly 5pm - 10pm through Monday, January 12, (closed December 24 & 25), this year's theme "A Legacy in Lights: 120 Years from Bicycle Club to Botanical Garden." A Holiday Tradition featuring more than a half a million lights hand-crafted botanical decorations, model trains, holiday dinners, fire pit with s'mores and hot chocolate, nightly family activities and lots more. 37th Annual Model Railroad Show at the Science Museum of Virginia, Friday & Saturday 9:30am - 5pm and –Sunday, 11:30am - 5pm, features model trains layouts, Clydesdale, a blacksmith, showings in the Dome, Polar Express, Rocky Mountain Express and Back to the moon for Good.  "Illuminate Light Show & Santa’s Village," open nightly 5:30pm - 10pm through January 3, 2015 at The Meadow Event Park. Drive through the park and experience nearly a million LED lights synchronized to music on your car radio. The show features an 80-foot tunnel of lights, 50-foot Christmas trees, dancing snowmen and other twinkling surprises. After the show, spend some time in Santa's Village for photos with Santa, children’s activities and more. Illuminate Light Show & Santa’s Village is proud to partner with Summit Media and FeedMore, Central Virginia’s regional food bank, to give a gift to the hungry this holiday season, and with Star Radio Group and Toys for Tots to brighten the holiday season for area children. Guests that bring five or more non-perishable food items on Mondays and Tuesdays, November 17 through December 9, or a new, unwrapped toy on Wednesdays, November 19 through December 3, will receive $5 off gate admission after making their donation at the light show entrance.
