CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- The teenager convicted of killing Rusty Mack in Colonial Heights was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Tuesday. Margaret Blair Dacey,18, received 30 years of prison time, but the judge suspended 10 years of that sentence.
In July, Dacey was found guilty of second degree murder and assault and battery. She was involved in a fight outside Mack's Colonial Heights apartment in February 2013.
Dacey kicked Mack in the head, police said.
Four people were arrested and charge in connection with Mack's death, but Dacey was the only one convicted. One of the other defendants was acquitted, and charges were set aside for the other two people initially charged in the case.
