HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A New York couple is behind bars, charged with a number of crimes which include prostitution, child abuse, neglect and marijuana possession.

Suspect Symon Sims placed an ad for a service, in exchange for money, that led back to the Baymont Inn and Suites hotel in the West End.

The hotel's management tells CBS 6 that the couple had just moved to town and had been staying at the hotel on West Broad street for two weeks.

He said, off camera, that the couple seemed friendly and had a three-month-old baby with them when they went in and out of the hotel.

The manager says he never suspected anything suspicious about the couple nor did her notice any illegal activity during their two week stay.

Henrico detectives did, and they arrested the couple.  Management said this is the second time that police were led to the hotel for an ad placed there.

Police arrested a woman for doing the same thing two months ago.

Hotel management says staff have been trained to look out for illegal activity there, such as heavy traffic coming in and out of the hotel, or large amounts of cash paid daily at the front desk for an extended period of time.

The couple's baby is in Child Protective Services while its parents are in police custody.
