HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A New York couple is behind bars, charged with a number of crimes which include prostitution, child abuse, neglect and marijuana possession.

Suspect Symon Sims placed an ad for a service, in exchange for money, that led back to the Baymont Inn and Suites hotel in the West End.

The hotel's management tells CBS 6 that the couple had just moved to town and had been staying at the hotel on West Broad street for two weeks.

He said, off camera, that the couple seemed friendly and had a three-month-old baby with them when they went in and out of the hotel.

The manager says he never suspected anything suspicious about the couple nor did her notice any illegal activity during their two week stay.

Henrico detectives did, and they arrested the couple.  Management said this is the second time that police were led to the hotel for an ad placed there.

Police arrested a woman for doing the same thing two months ago.

Hotel management says staff have been trained to look out for illegal activity there, such as heavy traffic coming in and out of the hotel, or large amounts of cash paid daily at the front desk for an extended period of time.

The couple's baby is in Child Protective Services while its parents are in police custody.

“The manager says he never suspected anything suspicious about the couple nor did HER notice any illegal activity during their two week stay.” Apparently, you don’t have to graduate high school to work at WTVR.

Just shooting from the hip here. I doubt anyone would move here from New York to turn tricks. Given Obozo’s job recovery, I’d bet the odds that they were destitute.

I stand corrected, Lisa must have moved here from New York to turn tricks as witness by her tantrum (some people are easily offended). What were the odds given this scenario? I am at work, but with your profession, I’m not working quite as hard as you. No glass ceilings for Lisa!

manalishi, if you are at work then you are stealing your wages. Maybe you work for your mother. Maybe you have one of those government welfare jobs where you do nothing. Anyone that posts as much as you do does not have a life.
