Suspects targeted woman with phone at Chesterfield party

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — One woman was hurt, another was robbed at a party near the Virginia State University campus early Sunday morning, according to Chesterfield Police.

“The victims were at a party when an unknown male approached one of the victims and claimed she had his phone. A second unknown male took the phone from her hand and fled,” police said. “The victims gave chase and saw a third unknown male with the other two. One of the suspects struck one of the victims, and the suspects fled toward Petersburg.”

The woman who was struck suffered minor injuries, police said. The crime happened along the 3200 block of Main Street in Chesterfield at about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, October 19.

Police released the following suspect descriptions:

  • Suspect #1 — Black male, medium complexion, about 5’8″ and 150-170 pounds, wearing burgundy shirt
  • Suspect #2 — Black male, medium complexion, about 5’10” and wearing black long-sleeved shirt, gray sweatpants and a black stocking cap or beanie.
  • Suspect #3 — Black male, dark complexion, about 5’8″ and 150-170 pounds, wearing a white or gray long-sleeved shirt and baggy light blue jeans.
