Man, 56, charged with murdering Henrico teenager

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A 56-year-old man was arrested and charged with the murder of a Henrico teenager. Walter S. Maybush, of Sandston, was charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection with a Friday night shooting, Henrico Police said.

Police responded to the intersection of South Confederate Avenue and West Berry Street at about 11 p.m. Friday.

There they found Jonathan M. Raikes, 19, of Sandston, suffering from a gunshot wound. Raikes was taken to VCU Medical Center where he later died.

Police have not yet released details about a motive in the shooting.
