MONROE, Connecticut — Students were taken to safety and Sandy Hook Elementary School in Monroe, Connecticut was evacuated after someone phoned in a bomb threat Wednesday morning. Nothing suspicious has been found, police told FoxCT.com.
Sandy Hook Elementary School was the site of a deadly mass shooting in 2012. The school, which was then located in Newtown, Connecticut, was moved to nearby Monroe so the school where the shooting occurred could be torn down and rebuilt.
