WALLER COUNTY, Texas -- A mother was jailed on $100,000 bond after police said she used her seven-year-old daughter to sell drugs. Officers in Waller County, Texas caught the mother, in action, using a hidden camera.

Waller County District Attorney Elton Mathis said the mother, Sylvia Tijerina, can be seen dealing cocaine to the undercover officer and telling the officer to hand over the money to her daughter.

"It's really shocking what you see," Mathis said. "You see a seven-year-old girl that absolutely knows what she's doing. She knows how to look at money to tell if it's counterfeit or not." According to Mathis, an officer also saw Tijerina allow drunk club-goers to pay her daughter to dance with them.

"It's crazy," Mathis said.

A couple of weeks after the initial drug deal was caught on a hidden camera, officers arrested Tijerina. When she was arrested, Mathis said officers found even more drugs in her possession, about eight grams of cocaine.

"It actually caused us to cut the undercover investigation short because we had a mother out there who is using her daughter to do dope deals," Mathis said.

The mother is charged with endangering a child and selling drugs. Her daughter is now being taken care of by other family members.
