LONG ISLAND, NY — How would you celebrate your birthday if you live to be 102?
Madeline Turpan of Massapequa decided to grab some burger at White Castle.
Family and friends joined her Thursday for a special birthday lunch. Turpan worked as a dietician for the Top of Sixes restaurant, but White Castle has always been her favorite burger joint.
She’s been going there for more than 80 years and goes at least once a month with her nephew.
In addition to her White Castle burgers, Turpan enjoys a glass of red wine with her dinner.
