NEW YORK — Rihanna is not happy with CBS. One week after CBS dropped her song from the “Thursday Night Football” pregame show to make time for discussion of the Ray Rice domestic violence incident, the singer fired an angry tweet aimed at the network.

“CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, F*** you! Y’all are sad for penalizing me for this,” a tweet from her account read. “The audacity…”

After the announcement last week, NFL spokesman Alex Riethmiller said the 2009 Jay Z song “Run This Town,” which features Rihanna, will return to the broadcast this week.

“We thought … we needed to have the appropriate tone and coverage,” CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus said. “A lot of the production elements we wanted in the show are being eliminated because of time or tone.”

Rihanna was the victim of domestic violence in February 2009 when she was assaulted by her then-boyfriend, Chris Brown.

Some critics questioned the appropriateness of the song being a part of the telecast for a game involving the Baltimore Ravens.

After beating Rihanna with his fists, Brown entered a guilty plea to one felony count of assault and was sentenced to probation, counseling and community service.

Jay Z won two Grammy Awards for “Run This Town.” Besides featuring Rihanna’s singing, the original song also includes rapper Kanye West.
