HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Bag pipes were played and sacrifices honored as Henrico firefighters gathered at Firehouse 9, on Quioccasin Road, for a remembrance ceremony in honor of 9/11 victims.

During the ceremony, Assistant Henrico Fire Chief Andrew Baxter asked those gathered to do three things:

  • Reflect – On the commitment and selfless sacrifice.
  • Focus – On supporting each other. Mutual aid is what makes us a resilient community and a resilient Nation.
  • Commit – recommit to the values: Freedom, liberty, and community that makes our nation great.
