Armed robber hits Richmond Arby’s

RICHMOND, Va. — At approximately 9:40 pm Richmond Police responded to the Arby’s at 2309 W. Broad Street.

Once on scene they discovered the business had been robbed. The suspect was described as  a black male in his thirties, with an afro, wearing a blue shirt over a white long-sleeved shirt.

The suspect had a red bandanna covering his face and was armed with a handgun, police said.

He was last seen on foot heading east in the south alley.

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police dogs and investigators searched for a would-be robber after a clerk at the Exxon gas station along the 15700 block of Woods Edge Road in Chesterfield picked up a broom and fought back, according to Chesterfield Police Lt. Justin Miller.
    The mask-wearing, gun-totting robber walked into the gas station store at about 3:41 a.m. Thursday and struck the clerk in the face.
    The clerk picked up a broom and fought back.
    The would-be robber’s mask fell off during the struggle and he ran away without taking anything.
    Investigators are reviewing security video taken inside the store in an effort to identify the would-be robber.
    Police described him as a 20-22-year-old white man, 5’10” and 140 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans.
