CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A staff member at Midlothian High School was removed from his job last week amid a "serious allegation," a Chesterfield Schools spokesman confirmed Tuesday.

Chesterfield Schools spokesman Shawn Smith said the support staff member was immediately removed from school after current and former students alerted administrators. The school system would not say what the staff member was accused of doing.

Several Midlothian High school students, alumni and parents have identified the staff member to CBS 6 reporters. The former staff member is not charged with a crime at this time and his identity has not yet been released.
