HAMPTON ROADS, Va. — Heavy rain Monday into Tuesday has caused flooding and flash flooding across Hampton Roads. Our sister-station WTKR in Norfolk is updating the situation on WTKR.com. CBS 6 meteorologist Carrie Rose reported some rain gauges registered 10 inches of rain as of Tuesday morning.
Flooded roads caused some schools to close early on Monday and delay opening on Tuesday.
Thousands of people were left without power in Newport News and in Hampton.
This is a developing story.
