Richmond Jazz Society’s 35th Anniversary Season

Thirty-five years of educating, preserving and advancing Jazz as an American Art Form, that's been the mission of the Richmond Jazz Society.

In honor of  the 35th Anniversary, The Jazz Educator's Series will present several "not to be missed" concerts starting with The Music of Nina Simone, Abbey Lincoln and Joni Mitchell featuring Pianist, Composer Lynne Arriale and Grammy-Nominated Vocalist Carla Cook Tuesday, September 9th for two shows, 7pm & 9:15pm. Tuesday, October 14th "Lets Get Organ-ized!" with H. A. 'Debo' Dabney at the Hammond B-3 Organ. Tuesday November 11, Philadelphia Saxophonist & Max Roach Alumnus Odean Pope with Lee Smith, Craig & George Burton and Tuesday, December 9th, Desiree Roots in her first CD Release Party with Dr. Weldon Hill, Jason Jenkins, Carl Lester El and Billy Williams.
