VICTORVILLE, California — A California bride moved her wedding day up a week and into the hospital so she could share the special moment with her dying father. Her dad, David Wilson, was diagnosed with a rare cancer.

“He said, ‘I can’t dance’ and I said ‘you don’t have to. I want to dance with your hands,'” bride Lisa Wilson told CBS Los Angeles about her father-daughter dance. Cell phone video taken in the hospital room during the emotional dance has been shared tens of thousands of time on social media.

The groom said his father-in-law called him the “lucky one.”

“He looked at me,” groom Robert Pantoja recalled, “[and said] You won the lottery, you got my baby girl.”

The newlyweds have asked for prayers for David Wilson.
