DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va.  - After missing for over two weeks, Ovie, the Chocolate Lab has been reunited with her owners.

The 10-month old went missing after being thrown out of a car after one of her owner's, Kaylee Oliver, and her brother got into a rollover crash on I-85 in Dinwiddie back in July.

"She was my immediate first thought," said Oliver, "She's my pet and my responsibility so it was terrifying."

Since Ovie had been missing, Kaylee, her boyfriend and many others have helped spread the word to keep an eye out for the dog. Kaylee said Dinwidde Animal Control had also been our searching for Ovie everyday.

"We got phone calls from people who had seen her on the side of the road which was very helpful because we knew where to spot her, we've just had so much help," said Oliver.

On Saturday, Kaylee and her boyfriend went back near the site of where the accident happened and spotted Ovie.

"David walked up maybe 50 yards into the woods a little bit and he just called her and she came right to him," said Oliver.

Ovie did have a few scrapes from the accident and had lost around ten pounds since she had been missing.

Kaylee and her boyfriend took her to a veterinarian in Carytown and Ovie checked out just fine.

"I'm so happy that we could have a happy ending like this," said Oliver.

She and her boyfriend said they are so grateful for all the help and could not have done it without everyone's support.
