NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A 63-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly setting his ex-girlfriend on fire during an argument in Davidson County over the weekend.

Police said a fight broke out after Harold Lunsford showed up to the victim’s home Sunday afternoon and picked a fight about her boyfriend’s dog dying.

During the argument, Lunsford is accused of dousing the victim with lighter fluid and then using a cigarette lighter to set the woman ablaze, according to WATE.

According to the police report, Lunsford used to live with the victim, who WSMV reportssuffered burns on her chest, arms, neck and face.

Police said Lunsford was stopped Sunday afternoon while he was in car with his wife, who admitted to officers that the lighter fluid was under the passenger seat.

Lunsford has been charged with attempted reckless homicide and is being held in jail on $76,000 bond.
