Crash closes lane, slows I-64 traffic

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. — A crash has closed the left lane on I-64 east near mile marker 207 (two miles west of Rt. 33) due to a crash, according to VDOT.

There is currently a five-mile backup.

    really? come on channel 6…how the freakydeek is this considered “News”?? Especially since I64 has been a joke with back ups since I was a kid in the 70’s. Everyone knows all it takes is one lane closer from a auto crash to cause gridlock from Richmond outskirts all the way to the beach. How about reporting on a solution everytime they bring up adding a extra lane or two? And when they deny or strike down any attempt to make 64 wider with more lane access REPORT ON THAT.
