KAZAKHSTAN - A teenage volleyball player is hearing complaints from her teammates and coaches that her good looks have become a distraction for the team. Sabina Altynbekova, 18, plays for Kazakhstan's junior national team.

While her team competed in a tournament in Taiwan, her coach said the crowds were too focused on Sabina, #20.

"Fans just stare at her and they are not following the game," coach Nurlan Sadikov told reporters at the tournament. He said there has been too much attention -- especially on social media -- about the teenager's looks and not enough about his team's performance.

Sabina said while she is flattered by the attention, she would rather concentrate on playing volleyball.

The teenager has more than a quarter-million followers on Instagram where she posts photos before, during and after matches.

I don’t know about you but I don’t see where she all that pretty. I have seen better looking girls than that.

She’s adorable, and it seems like she has a very different look than that of her team mates that I could tell from the video. Sounds like she is very down to earth as well.

no,she IS very pretty! I don’t understand what the coach’s issue is,it’s not like volleyball is some big popular sport or something.Do people pay to come to the matches? If they pay to see the matches,or see her,who cares as long as they pay?He should be happy that she brings some attention to the team and the game.

For crying out loud. Yes, she’s attractive, but it doesn’t look like she’s significantly more attractive than the other woman on her team. This sounds like petty jealousy on the part of her so called team mates.
