NORTH CAROLINA – A  mother of 6 has set up a charity after her daughter lost her life when she was just 6 months old. She provides parents with free photos of their premature babies after they are born.

Deneen Bryan  founder of Capturing Hopes Photographyand her team of volunteers photographers, capture preemie’s growth as a gift to families too distressed or unable to take photos, according to Daily Mail.

Bryan said the work is emotionally difficult but rewarding.

One of the babies photographed, Walker Pruett, was just 1 pound and 3 ounces when he was born. The photography aims to show a preemie’s growth in the first 100 days of its life at the hospital.

For the parents it was a dream come true.

‘(Walker) was just so, so tiny. You couldn’t touch him. You couldn’t rub him. You just had to pat his skin, because his skin was so fragile. … It was five days before we could hold him,’ said Erica.

Bryan and her volunteer photographers have learned how to work with families to get good shots.
