VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A 48-year-old Virginia Beach man is behind bars after police say he tried to abduct an infant at gunpoint this morning.
Police tell NewsChannel 3 the attempted abduction happened at 9:52 a.m. in the 2200 block of Locksley Arch.
Bryan R. Lowe approached someone and started a conversation, police say, and then he pulled out a gun and threatened to take the baby.
The baby was in the back seat of a vehicle, and the victim was able to get away to call 911 and gave dispatchers a description of the suspect.
An officer spotted the suspect’s truck and pulled him over.
Lowe has been charged with attempted abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
