OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — A man makes a stop at the hospital before heading to jail all because he swallowed a bag of meth.

Oklahoma County Sheriff’s deputies said they saw a driver in a pickup truck make an illegal lane change near I-40 and Pennsylvania Avenue in Oklahoma City on Sunday.

The deputy tried to pull him over, but the driver refused to stop.

Deputies say the driver, Noah Mark Walters, 30, finally stopped. That’s when the deputy arrested him.

However, when the suspect was being booked into jail, the deputy noticed Walters was sweating profusely and shaking.

According to investigators, Walters admitted that he swallowed a bag of meth during the short pursuit with the deputy.

Walters told deputies he swallowed up to 2-grams of methamphetamine.

He was taken to the hospital to be checked then booked into the jail on eluding, obstruction, and destruction of evidence charges.

Walters is being held on $6,000 bail.

He also had active warrants in Oklahoma and Cleveland counties.
