SUFFOLK, Va.. – On Sunday a 20-year-old Maryland man was found partially entangled and nude in a car with a 13-year-old Suffolk girl.
Devonta Day traveled four hours from Maryland to Suffolk, according to NewsChannel 3.
Day, according to court documents, told police he thought he was coming to visit an 18-year-old girl.
The two met through an online chat website a few months ago.
The couple was busted after officers were called to Dixon Drive around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Dixon Drive is a long street in the middle of a neighborhood, and the person who reported seeing a suspicious car parked alongside the road thought no one was inside of it.
According to the documents, police found Day and the girl inside the car, both partially naked.
Court documents show the girl lied to police and said she was 18-years-old.
He’s been charged with having sex with a minor, and is being held in jail without bond.
