CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- The Metro Richmond Zoo is ready to show off its latest set of babies. Three Meerkat pups were born June 25 and are just now being unveiled to the public.

The zoo launched a Meerkat Cam to expose the pups to a wider audience.

The Meerkats recently opened their eyes. They will be fully mature in about one year.

Last fall the zoo created a buzz online after it established a Cheetah Cam weeks after the historic birth of five cheetah cubs. As the cheetah cubs grew, the Cheetah Cam was discontinued.

Passed along to my sis, she loves this stuff….the cheetahs wore on me after awhile… was funny a couple of times late at night I saw the mother puke…..standing still, looking confused, profuse mouth watering, followed by the inevitable dry heaving, puking, and general relief that we’ve all been through :)
