RICHMOND, Va. — Don’t be surprised if you see vampires around town this summer. The movie “Vampires in Virginia” is set to begin production Thursday in Shockoe Bottom.

Local filmmaker Kahil Dotay said he planned to shoot his movie in Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico, Goochland and Powhatan.

“I still love the craft and, although I realize it’s a business, I still believe in the magic that happens when you get the right people together,” Dotay said in a statement emailed to media.
