RICHMOND, Va. – Starbucks soda is coming to Virginia. This week the coffee company’s new Fizzio™ Handcrafted Sodas will be available in select stores. Starbucks soda comes in three flavors:

  • Spiced Root Beer
  • Golden Ginger Ale
  • Lemon Ale

“We have heard from our customers that they’re looking for more refreshing, cold beverages, especially during the warm summer months,” Cliff Burrows, group president, U.S., Americas and Teavana, said in a statement. “Fizzio Handcrafted Soda is unlike any soda in the marketplace because it’s handcrafted and made-to-order each time.”

Starbucks said its soda machine, called The Fizzio™,  makes soda unlike anything else on the market.

“The machine carbonates finished beverages, ensuring every ingredient in the beverage receives the same level of carbonation and maximum flavor,” the company said. “The machine also delivers a customizable experience with the capability to adjust the amount of ‘fizz’ in each beverage.”

Stabucks said it can offer added fizz for an extra 50 cents.

Virginia is one of 16 states where Starbucks will make Fizzio™ Handcrafted Soda available this week.
