RICHMOND, Va - Your United Way is organizing a collection drive for youth sports equipment to be given to targeted schools and programs serving children throughout the region.  President, Lynn Pharr and Vice President of Strategic Engagement, Heather Pollard shared with us how you can get involved volunteering and how you can organize your own collection drive.  Donation day, entitled “Day of Action” takes place on Saturday June 21st from 10am-2pm with split shifts available for volunteers.  The event will be located at the Richmond Alternative School along the RVA Streets Alive route at 119 W. Leigh Street in Richmond.  Email your collection pictures to socialnetworking@yourunitedway.org or visit them online at http://www.unitedway.org/take-action/united-way-day-of-action for more information.
