RICHMOND, Va. - Police continue to search for a driver who refused to stop. The driver abandoned his SUV, which then hit a home and knocked out power to a some homes in a Richmond neighborhood.
The incident began about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when Henrico Police attempted to stop the Dodge Durango because one of its headlights was not working.
When the driver refused to stop, police pursued the vehicle. The pursuit spanned about one and a half miles into the City of Richmond.
When the Durango driver steered into an alley near Barton Avenue and East Crawford Avenue, the vehicle hit a power pole and snapped the pole in half. The driver jumped out of the SUV and ran, but the Durango continued to roll. It eventually hit a home.

The house was not seriously damaged, however Dominion had to be called to the neighborhood to restore power.
