BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities said a Georgia teenager drowned early Sunday morning playing a game with friends at Lake Allatoona.

In the game, one person sits in a shopping cart and is pushed into the water.

The shopping cart is usually tied to a pole but, in this case, it was tied to the victim. The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Chance Werner.

Police say Werner was pulled into the water along with the shopping cart and didn’t resurface.

Werner had just graduated from high school on Saturday.

This is so sad. Thoughts/prayers are with family and friends. According to the report…”The shopping cart is usually tied to a pole but, in this case, it was tied to the victim.” I may be wrong, but I feel this was not an accident.

All the years to get this child to graduate and this happens! This was all preventable and how not only do you have a death but each and every teenager is going to be mentally damaged by this act!!! Are you telling me that nobody had second thoughts that maybe this was a bad idea? Is this the education we are teaching our kids? Our heats go out to all the people involved especially the victims family
