Memorial Day Events & Ceremony: A Silent Memorial Day Run, Monday, May 26, sponsored by VCU Police Department And VFW Post 6364, to Commemorate Fallen Service Members, starting at noon at the Siegel Center, 1200 West Broad Street and ending at the Virginia War Memorial, 621 South Belvidere street.
Memorial Day Concert at The Carillon: Monday, May 26, the program starts at 4pm with musical pieces played on the WWII Bells of the Carillon by Larry Robinson, the City's Carilloneur. At 7pm at Dogwood Dell a concert with the U.S. Training & Doctrine Command Band, Free and open to the public.
Memorial Day Tasting & Tailgate at the City's only Urban Cidery - Blue Bee Cider, 212 West 6th Street, Manchester behind Scoot Richmond. Bring your own grill & food, free cider tasting for Veterans and Active Duty Military, all others $1 for tasting,
6th Annual American Legion Post 242 & Sandston Memorial Day Parade Monday, May 26, at Seven Pines Elementary School, parade starts at 1pm with Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks & Richmond Native Michael Robinson. Fans can attend a one hour meet & greet with Robinson after the parade.
Richmond National Battlefield Park, in operation with the Department of Veterans Affairs Memorial Day Program and wreath-laying, Monday, May 26, noon at the Fort Harrison National Cemetery on the Fort Harrison battlefield, 8620 Varina Road.
