SPOKANE, Wash. (KXLY) - The parents of a two-year-old Washington state boy born without arms are thanking their community after it raised $25,000 to help them pay for high-tech prosthetic arms.

"He can do pretty much anything that any other little kid can do," Jameson Davis' mom Brooke said.

Jameson wears myo-electric arms twice a day. The arms have sensors that pick up movement.

"So in the simplest terms, if he just flexes his little biceps, it will open and close the hand," father Jim Davis said.

The arms cost more than $100,000, most of which is covered by insurance.

However the Davis' community in Spokane decided it would chip in and raised $25,000 to help off-set costs not covered by insurance.

"It's amazing to know there is great people in Spokane and they are willing to help strangers," Jim Davis said. "Thank you."
