RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Richmond utility crews responded to a ruptured water line that gushed high into the air shortly before noon Sunday.

Officials said a contractor was digging along Lynhaven Avenue and Royall Avenue on the city’s South Side when his machinery clipped a water main making a small hole.

Pressure built underneath the street causing the water to spew up from the ground.

People living nearby said they were warned that the pipe was about to burst.

A CBS 6 viewer captured video of the chaos. She said all streets were blocked off as crews tried to shut off the water.

Seems as if regular maintenance, upkeep and infrastructure
doesn’t come under the purview of the City Executives. either.
These must be strictly and solely FigureHead, photo op, positions. JFK’s quote, “With great power, comes great responsibility”,
doesn’t seem to apply anymore under new era PC.
