CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (RichmondBizSense.com) – In a busy month for $1 million-plus home sales, a nearly 10,000-square foot fully furnished estate with James River frontage was the highest-priced house sold in the Richmond area in April, according to the Central Virginia Regional Multiple Listing Service.

The Chesterfield mansion, at 12001 N. Enon Church Road, went for $2 million on April 7.

According to the listing, the 14-acre property has a barn, a pond and a dock on the James. Included in the sale – along with the home’s seven bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms on four levels – were the seller’s Mercedes and a pontoon boat.

Realty agent Cabell Childress, who listed the property, said there were two offers.

“The No. 1 selling feature on that property was the fact that it had absolutely phenomenal views of the James River,” said Childress, of the Cabell Childress Group with Long & Foster.
