RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Richmond police have found Daniel Lea, a Marine Corps and Vietnam veteran, who vanished without a trace.

Official said Lea, who was last seen leaving the McGuire VA Medical Center on Tuesday, was found safe Thursday afternoon.

His stepson says 63-year-old Lea has never done anything like this before. They say he needs his medication and doesn’t have any with him.

Lea was supposed to check in at the McGuire VA Medical Center Tuesday afternoon.

From the time it took his fiancee to park the car, family members say Lea had gone inside, canceled his appointment and disappeared. 

Lea lives with his fiancee and stepchildren in Calio on the Eastern Shore. Lea was last seen wearing a vest with American flag pins on it. Also, a cap with US Marine Corps veteran on it.
