RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) –The three day festival celebrating Richmond’s river front and outdoor lifestyle will kick off Friday.
Some of the world’s top professional athletes will descend upon the River City. The festival features a variety of outdoor sports including trail running, kayaking, biking, bouldering, slacklining, stand up paddleboarding, and dog jumping. The schedule is below.
According to Sports Backers the 2012 festival drew more than 65,000 spectators and 4,000 participants to Brown’s Island and Historic Tredegar.
It last three days, from May 16-18 and you can count on being wowed by the competitors, food, music and beer.
There are 11 bands lined up over the weekend.
Dogs are welcome, as are lawn chairs and blankets.
However, NO alcohol, bottles or glass containers, contraband, laser pointers, skateboards, inline skates, etc., or flying objects are allowed (kites, Frisbees, footballs, etc.).
