RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR): Jazz Inside Out Fundraiser sponsored by Virginia Higher Education Fund, a non-profit corporation (run by all volunteers) formed to provide Momentum Scholarships & emergency aid to college students in need. The 3rd annual Jazz Inside Out Fundraiser will help raise funds for the Momentum Scholarship.

The Martin's Momentum Award is given annually to college bound students who have experienced some type of adverse conditions. Rose Giles with The Virginia Higher Education Fund says one common denominator we see in our award recipients is resilience. They seem to have a way of turning their struggles into strengths. We see time and time again that these are young adults who are truly over comers. This year's award recipients are: Shakeema Isaac, Asan Elleby, Sophie Booker and Jasmine Cook.

The event is Friday, May 30th, 8pm - 12am, at The Westin Hotel & Courtyard, 6631 West Broad Street, tickets are $40 and the deadline to buy tickets is May 20. The evening features several bands including J. Tucker & The Krewe Band in the Blue Ridge Ballroom and G7 Jazz and The Macon Mann Quartet performing in the courtyard of the Westin. There will also be Jazz Art & Designer Auction, Hors d'oeuvers & cash bar, a silent Auction, raffles and returning this year as the Emcee is CBS 6 Antoinette Essa, for more details visit http://www.vahigheredfund.com/events.

Amazing the all the Tax Exempt/Non Profits now
urgently needed and coming out of the woodwork
at local, state and federal levels. They are required,
now evidently, to bolster to supplement All the overlapping
local, state, and federal Government Programs that
    have apparently Failed.
The Government gives them tax advantages,
taxes, and allows public donations to…
    Supplement Government.
