Men arrested for armed robbery at New Kent 7-Eleven

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — Two men are behind bars accused of robbing a Northern Neck convenience store Tuesday morning.

The New Kent Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested two suspect around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies said 19-year-old Trey Daquan Smith, of 255 Clancy Road in Shakelfords, and 38-year-old Michael Sylvester Robinson, of 4353 Custis Millpond Road in West Point, where taken into custody at the Custis Millpond Road address without incident while deputies were executing a search warrant at the home.

The arrests stem from the early morning armed robbery being investigated by Detective Donald Mehalko that occurred at the Eltham 7-Eleven.
