Lewis Ginter’s Mother’s Day Weekend Celebration & Butterflies LIVE!

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR): National Public Gardens Day is Friday, May 9, an annual celebration designed to promote awareness of public gardens and at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, there are several events and the kick off to Mother’s Day Weekend. National Public Gardens Day will have free tours of the Bloemendaal House 11am to 3pm Friday (garden admission required) the Butterflies LIVE! Exhibit open all three days and Beautiful Blooms.

Th Garden is open Saturday, May 10, 10am – 4pm with the Butterflies LIVE! Exhibit, and participants can help weave a Maypole, hula hoop and chase bubbles. and Sunday May 11, the popular Mother’s Day concert featuring Glenroy Bailey & Co will perform from 1 – 4pm, food will be available for purchase and guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs but no outside food.
