A South Carolina pregnant woman says she was kicked out of a “judgement free zone” at a  Planet Fitness all because her stomach was showing.

Melissa Mantor is 18 weeks pregnant and tells WCIV she was working out when an employee told her she was violating the dress code. Mantor was wearing a tank top with spaghetti straps, a shirt she says she’s worn many times before without incident.

But because part of her belly was showing she was asked to put on a Men’s large t-shirt.

According to the Planet Fitness dress code, they do not allow jeans, string tank tops, or sandals. It’s all to promote a “non-intimidating atmosphere.” A statement to the Huffington Post says the particular location Mantor went to has a policy against mid-drifts. They are working to fix the misunderstanding between corporate and the store.

Melissa Mantor says she canceled her membership with the gym, but Planet Fitness says they’ve offered her a free t-shirt to complete her workout.
