The vandalism was first reported to police about 6 a.m. Monday.

According to Police, the serial slashing spree happened between 11 p.m. Sunday Night  and 1 a.m. Monday morning.

"We are looking at this as all related  from the same incident with  many victims," Esther Hyatt, a spokesman with the Police Department, said.

Police appear to have a particular interest in talking over the case with younger members of the community - asking students to come forward with information.

"We want people to understand just because you are in school does not mean you can't get a crime solvers reward," Hyatt emphasized.

Anyone with information is asked to call Petersburg-Dinwiddie Crime Solvers at 804-861-1212.

Complete and utter disregard for property. Most people are going to have pay out of pocket for this! If this was the work of board teenagers than shame on these careless people because these very same people help pay for public education through taxes paid in earnings. Now these people can’t get to work
