The vandalism was first reported to police about 6 a.m. Monday.

According to Police, the serial slashing spree happened between 11 p.m. Sunday Night  and 1 a.m. Monday morning.

"We are looking at this as all related  from the same incident with  many victims," Esther Hyatt, a spokesman with the Police Department, said.

Police appear to have a particular interest in talking over the case with younger members of the community - asking students to come forward with information.

"We want people to understand just because you are in school does not mean you can't get a crime solvers reward," Hyatt emphasized.

Anyone with information is asked to call Petersburg-Dinwiddie Crime Solvers at 804-861-1212.
