Suspect robs Family Dollar, assaults worker

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Richmond police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who robbed a Family Dollar and beat up an employee.

The crime happened at the Family Dollar at 2917 North Ave. on March 2 around 7:40 p.m.

Surveillance photos show a man walk into the store, assault an employee and rob the business before running off.

The suspect is described as a tall, black male wearing dark jeans, a gray-blue jacket and white sneakers.

    This isnt any news.. Black male hell thats in the biggest ghetto area in Richmond everyone black there. Whats sad Family Dollar doesnt like the rest of the places dont buy REAL cameras. you stop buying 99 cent lens we might can identify someone thats not Family Dollar thats EVERYWHERE!

    right on mark.not just dollar stores but banks spend little on cameras and expect the police and public to use these crappy images.Sorry find him yourself.Did they check the white house?
