RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR): The 22nd annual French Film Festival considered the largest French Film Festival in the nation kicks off in Richmond Thursday, March 27 and runs to Sunday, March 30 at the Historic Byrd Theatre, sponsored by Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond.
More than 40 feature and short films from France will be presented by their directors and actors. The popular festival features several well-known film stars including Jacques Perrin, a two-time Oscar-Winning producer for best foreign film Josiane Balasko and Luciano Tovoli. All films will have English subtitles.
The public is invited to mingle with the Actors and Directors, ask questions after each films and even walk down Carytown with them. More information will be given on the donation of seats from the Cannes Film Festival to the Byrd Theatre.
