DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Six people escaped an early morning house fire along the 23000 block of Pear Tree Lane in Dinwiddie. The fire at the two-story home was reported about 3:17 a.m.
“Units initiated a defensive fire attack using several heavy fire streams and brought the fire under control in approximately one hour,”Dinwiddie Fire and EMS Chief Dennis Hale. “One occupant discovered the fire in the front of the house and alerted the other sleeping occupants.”
No one inside the home and no firefighters were injured in the fire.
“The American Red Cross is assisting the family at this time,” Hale said. “The cause of the fire remains under investigation.”
