RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- The Colonial Heights man who scuffled with police at the 2013 Shamrock the Block was arrested again.

Jason Dotson, 23, is charged with disorderly conduct and assault on a law enforcement officer. He was arraigned Monday morning.

A police source told CBS 6 that Dotson got into a tussle that caused the officer's nose to bleed.

The incident happened around 2:30 Saturday morning, at the Hat Factory in downtown Richmond.

Last year Dotson was initially charged with obstruction of justice and being drunk in public.

He was seen in a video that everyone talked about, and many said that the force used to apprehend Dotson was “very excessive.”

A judge dismissed those charges and said that the police officer’s actions were also questionable.

Dotson is due back in court in April.

The officers were pathetic handling him last year. They learned well. All drama was swept away before escalation.

I guess he will get another “payday” from the city. Why anyone would become a city cop is beyond me. Garbagemen are given more respect in this city. While losers like this guy are held up as a champion of the people.

Not just you regular white trash. Exceptional/professional white trash with a continued history of excessive trash.

So, willthe media now admit that they ran with the wrong story last year? That the incident at Shamrock the Block 2013 wasn’t police brutality (or an unruly crowd) but a lone person resisting arrest?
