RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Police arrested a 51-year-old man accused of robbing a West Broad Street bank.

“Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Charles E. Jackson,” Richmond Police  wrote in an email.”Yesterday morning a Fourth Precinct officer spotted Jackson walking near N. Ninth and Marshall streets and made the arrest without incident.”

Jackson was charged with last week’s robbery of the SunTrust Bank located at 1801 W. Broad St., between Meadow and Lombardy Sts.

Police said Jackson passed the teller a note that demanded money and never showed a gun.
