CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR) – When the Berlin Wall came down nearly 25 years ago, it ended conflict over communism in the German capital.

Now portions of the wall are going up at the University of Virginia to mark the anniversary of the collapse.

In fact, crews installed four panels on loan from an art collector outside of Alderman Library Monday.

The school said a private ceremony will be held April 11 and then the display will be open to the public for two years.

A number of events will be held at UVa. as the Nov. 9 anniversary approaches.
